Quality

The quality department are involved from a very early stage of production and provide First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) at the initial sampling stage for new products. These documents form the basis for the bespoke Quality Plan that is created for all future production runs of these parts on approval from the customer

On the start of a new production job our mould technicians will present a First Off sample to our inspector to gain approval before production can commence. During the production process the condition on the moulded part is monitored and recorded to ensure any production issues are identified and actioned in a timely manner. On the completion of the process last off checks are carried out to approve the parts before releasing the production to the next stage ofacture. The first and last off samples are held within our quality department for future reference, until the next production batch is approved.

Inspection encompasses dimensional, visual and functional review of the moulded product and is supported with a range of measuring equipment that is calibrated on a routine basis. Standard measuring equipment includes micrometers, calipers, height gage, surface table, profile projector and specialised equipment with bespoke inspection gauges utilised when specifically required to maintain product quality.
